Earlier this week, my husband and I went on a quick overnight trip for his birthday. I knew I wanted to find a quiet spot and ideally a stay that had amenities to aid in rest and relaxation.
I was so excited when I found Heidi’s Bed and Breakfast in Myerstown, PA. This space is a log cabin, nestled between an Amish farm and a family farm. With it being just 2.5 hours away from the DC area, Heidi’s Bed and Breakfast sounded like the perfect spot for us to getaway.

Check-in was at 4PM, which in the winter brought us in just before sunset. It was beautiful seeing the sun set over the farms. The rental has its own parking space, with private stairs that lead right up to the entry way. Outside you’ll find a seating area for 2, multiple picnic tables, and a large fire pit area.

The Bed and Breakfast opens up into the bedroom area, which has a seating area, small eating area, and a mini fridge and microwave.

The space then opens to the most amazing bathroom. Honestly, this was the main reason we chose this location. There is a clawfoot tub and a HUGE shower with two shower heads.

The far end of the space, which is separated by a door, has a tv area with an amazing recliner and chaise. The TV has satellite, which is also really nice. The space opposite the living room has a high top dining table and coffee station. The highlight of this space are the huge windows, which give you a view of both sunrise and sunset.

The cherry on top was that, being a Bed and Breakfast, Heidi served us the most amazing breakfast. Heidi did reach out to me prior to our stay to see if we had any allergies and to ask what time we’d like breakfast served. It was amazing sleeping in, getting ready, and then having this amazing breakfast at 8:30AM. We ended our stay talking about the year ahead and relaxing before checking out at 11AM.

I can not recommend Heidi’s Bed and Breakfast enough. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to go back!
