We are officially 4 weeks into the OrangeTheory Transformation Challenge, moving into week 5 yesterday. Overall, it has been a really positive experience. As expected, the workout has been great! Working out is something I absolutely love, so going to OrangeTheory 3-4 times a week has been great. I’ve also made it a goal to workout on my Peloton bike 1-2 times a week, which is a good change up. Workouts, so far, have been a 10/10!
My diet has been good for the most part. Week 1 was a tough week as I was traveling for work. Week 2 and week 3 I found my strive, but then I derailed a bit last week due to Valentine’s Day and various events. I was also a lot more stressed last week, which doesn’t help.
You can look back on my Daily Snapshots to see what I’ve been eating, but I’ve really been working to focus on protein, veggies, and whole carbs. I’ve been trying to stay away from processed foods as much as possible. Sugar remains my weakness, but most days yogurt with berries has helped with those cravings.
As I shared in January, I have 3 big goals as I look towards summer.
-Reach my pre-Kinnick pregnancy weight of 252
-Reach my pre-Magnolia pregnancy weight of 234
-Reach 225
These photos have been my motivation. The first photo (green shorts) was taken on our honeymoon in 2012. I weighed 225 at that point. The second photo (grey shirt) was a few months later.
Since starting the OrangeTheory Transformation I have lost 7.3 pounds! I am far from the photos from 2012, but it’s really encouraging to see the changes happening to my body in such a short amount of time (excuse my messy room!).
I am traveling quite a bit for work these next few weeks, which could be hard, but I am determined to stay focused! I really want to get as close to my pre-Kinnick pregnancy weight of 252 before the challenge ends on March 17.
As always, I appreciate your support as I work to lose excess weight and regain my health. Weight loss is not easy, especially after having kids, but it is possible. It takes a lot of sacrifice and a lot of support. Here’s to the next 4 weeks!
