Looking Back – Week 1
It’s hard to believe it’s only week 1 of the OrangeTheory Transformation Challenge! It feels like it has been 3 weeks! This was a long and choppy week, complicated by a last minute trip to Boston for work mid-week. I was so incredibly proud of how I managed by diet while traveling. I avoided ALL sweets, which was huge (hello cookies with Reese’s peanut butter cups in them AND Mike’s Cannoli). While traveling I focused on protein and veggies, staying away from sweet, breads, and pastas.
The return to DC was tough, mainly because I was sleep deprived and didn’t prepare meals in advance for the work day. Friday was my blah day, giving into my sweet tooth after bringing cookies back home after a party at Magnolia’s school. I should have known better, but I learned from it.
The weekend was great and I was so incredibly proud to have completed 4 OrangeTheory workouts this week. All in all, it was a good first week. I did not weigh myself this week, which I think is for the better. I want to be proud of myself for the decisions I made and not allow the scale to impact my consistency. We have a weigh-in half way through the challenge, so I will most likely wait until then.

The Week Ahead – Week 2
The week ahead is all in all quiet, which is welcomed! I have quite a bit going on at work, so the biggest thing I need to manage is stress. When I’m busy I tend to stay up too late, not get enough sleep, and drink too little water. I know the negative impact stress can have on my weight loss, so I want to go into this week with self care on the forefront of my mind.
I am really looking forward to watching the Super Bowl this weekend and spending time with my family. I have a lot to get done Tuesday – Thursday, but am going to take good care of myself each day!

- Complete 2 Peloton workouts
- Get at least 7 hours of sleep a night
- Track all of my meals in My Fitness Pal
- Eat more salads
