This past weekend, on a beautiful fall day, we visited the Rocklands Farm Winery Maryland for the first time. Rocklands Farm Winery is located in Poolesville, Maryland. The farm and winery are not far from the Homestead Farm, which has a beautiful orchard in summer and early fall.
The drive out to Poolesville is beautiful, taking you up River Road through Potomac, Maryland. The farm is off a curvy road, taking you over an adorable single lane bridge onto the property.
There is handicap parking close to the entrance and additional parking in two adjacent fields. The walk to the winery is short and takes you across the property.
Inside the barn are two tasting bars, as well as seating for large groups and a small market. There is outdoor seating across two fields, inviting families and children to the property. Adjacent to the barn is an “adults only” seating area, which was also very nice. The tasting was $14.00 and included 6 wines. We were also able to taste a hopped apple cider and a sparkling red wine.
Outside of the winery on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Pizza Brama is set up! They sell amazing pizzas, misto, and dessert.
For those in Maryland, Washington DC, or Northern Virginia, Rocklands Farm Winery is a beautiful getaway throughout the year! We loved visiting in the fall, but the spring and summer rose is calling my name next year!
