After a wonderful spring break and trip downtown DC last Thursday, we celebrated Easter weekend here at home with my sister. It’s hard to believe she’ll be graduating from Penn State in a few weeks with her masters!!
I kicked off Friday morning with a 5AM OrangeTheory workout. My workouts last week were really, really good and I loved kicking off and closing the week at OrangeTheory.
With both kids home on Friday, I took the kids to a local library to play in the discovery room and to look through books. As a working parent, I rarely get these work week mid-day trips to the library, so it was a lot of fun. Friday afternoon was spent putting the kids down for a nap, going to the dentist, running errands, and making dinner. It was a mellow day with the kids, but oh so fun!
Saturday morning my sister and I took both kids to Monkey Joe’s and Target. Neal is working on his 4th book, so I wanted to give him a few hours to write. Once Magnolia went down for her after lunch nap, my sister and I took Kinnick shopping with us. I have a few work events coming up this month and wanted to get a new outfit or two. I stopped by Lane Bryant first and found this gorgeous dress!
Next we stopped by Bath and Body Works to pick up a few hand soaps and candles. We ended our trips at Torrid, where I found an adorable pair of jeans and a few t-shirts. Saturday night we watched basketball, enjoyed dinner at home, and played with the kids.
Easter Sunday was absolutely wonderful. Sunday afternoon we enjoyed Easter lunch before my sister headed back to Penn State. We made a ham, salad, corn on the cob, crescent rolls, and deviled eggs. It was delicious!
We closed out our beautiful Easter weekend and spring break with a trip to Kung Fu Tea in Rockville and 3.5 mile walk around our lake at sunset. It was the perfect ending!
