Last week was such a special week for our family as we celebrated Magnolia’s 3rd birthday and the start of her new preschool program! As I shared the other day, I am just so grateful to see how much my daughter has grown these past 3 years. The months and years go by too quickly, but I truly treasure each and every day.
This past weekend, we welcomed my mom and sister to town. We celebrated Magnolia’s 3rd birthday and I was able to spend some one-on-one time with my sister, which was much needed. I kicked off the weekend with an OrangeTheory workout and then enjoyed a quiet morning at home with my mom and Kinnick. For lunch, we headed over to Honeyfish Poke in Rockville and enjoyed our first Poke! It was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Poke if you enjoy sushi! Our Friday ended at home, playing with Magnolia, watching TV, and hanging out as a family.
Saturday morning we loaded up the car and all headed down to Bethesda to do a little shopping. We swung by Pottery Barn Kids where I picked up Halloween costume!! I can’t wait to show y’all our costumes this year. After glorious naps, Alison and I headed over to iPic in North Bethesda to see IT while Neal and my mom hung out with the kiddos. It was so fun going out, enjoying a beer, and seeing a scary movie. I thought the movie was very good!!
We had a pretty quiet start to our Sunday, which was great! I enjoyed a cup of coffee by myself before everyone woke up. I really treasure those quiet morning hours on the weekend!
Once Kinnick, Neal, and Magnolia were up, we loaded up the car and headed up to Frederick, Maryland for a little family adventure.
We stopped by Glory Donuts, which was fabulous, and enjoyed a few donuts before heading to Costco. I love these spontaneous trips with my kids and love that we have so many things to see and do in and around the Washington, DC area.
After lunch with my mom and sister at home, Kinnick and I took another long time. I love, love, love our afternoon naps together when they happen!
To close out our Sunday, my sister and I headed over to Coffee Republic. I am so grateful to have my sister just a few hours away and really treasure our time together. Coffee Republic is an adorable coffee shop and I just love their Matcha.
It was a wonderful weekend and the perfect end to Magnolia’s birthday week! We loved celebrating her on Thursday and spending time together this weekend. Here’s to another wonderful year with Miss Magnolia!
