Today is the last business day of summer! The fall semester starts on Monday and like I shared the other day, I can’t wait!! The summer went by too quickly, but it was a really wonderful summer. I traveled to Texas in May and June, enjoyed a staycation in early July, and then welcomed our families to town at the end of July/beginning of August. It was a great summer!
Today I’m tackling the last few summer projects on my to do list and plan to clean up my office before the work day ends. After work, Magnolia and I are going to the first men’s soccer home game of the season and I can’t wait! I love fall sports!
This was a good week, but a really busy week. Despite going grocery shopping last weekend, it felt like we had nothing in our house. I clearly did a horrible job of grocery shopping last weekend. Most mornings I was running out the door, so I was glad I had my overnight oats on Monday and Tuesday. The other mornings I had an english muffin with cream cheese.
I really struggled with lunches this week as I just didn’t shop for lunches. I had an amazing salad on Monday, using up our lettuce and leftover chicken. On Tuesday and Wednesday I forgot to make lunch, so I grabbed Subway instead. On Thursday I brought leftovers from our Wednesday night turkey tacos and on Friday I had a serving of Trader Joe’s Japanese Fried Rice, which was really good!
Dinners this week were pretty good. We had turkey tacos, homemade burgers, and salads. Neal was a huge help this week, cooking dinner for me on nights I got home from work super late. I usually bring my dinner with me to work for nights I’m in the office until at least 7PM, but I just wasn’t organized this week.
Workouts this week were really great!! I got some great workouts in at OrangeTheory and went for a great run on Sunday.
Friday – OrangeTheory
Saturday – Lots of walking
Sunday – 6 mile run and 1.30 warm up/cool down
Monday – OrangeTheory
Tuesday – Rest
Wednesday – Family walk after work
Thursday – Rest
Outside of work, the house is pretty crazy. Anyone else feel like they are drowning in laundry? I caught a yucky cold this week, so I literally had no energy to do anything once I got home from work. I spent time with my family, ate dinner, and then went to bed. I plan on playing catch up this weekend and then starting fresh on Monday!
Weigh In
I went into this week really hoping for a big loss. The weekend was good, but the work week was really busy. I was happy to see a loss on the scale and to be a little closer to the 230’s. With this next week being the start of the fall semester, I have made some simple goals:
1. Use the weekend to prep (laundry, grocery shopping, and meal prep)
2. Take a lunch break every day
3. Leave work at work and enjoy an evening walk on Monday and Wednesday
4. Enjoy my OrangeTheory workouts and runs
Starting weight: 254 pounds
Week 15 weight: 241.8
Week 15 results: -1.0
Total weight loss: -12.2 pounds
On to week 16 (4 month mark!!!).
