Early Saturday morning Magnolia, Theodore, and I headed to Virginia. Theodore had an early morning grooming appointment and Neal’s mom was flying into Reagan from Iowa.
After picking up Neal’s mom, we ran into Costco for a few things. The Costco stores in Virginia sell a few things the Maryland stores don’t sell, like Greek yogurt chicken salad and wine, so I like stopping in when we’re in Virginia.
After picking up our handsome pooch, look at that tie, we enjoyed some pizza from Costco and then all settled in for afternoon naps.
I’m sure many of y’all can relate, but we’ve had SO much rain here in the DC area these past few weeks. With the sun shinning on Saturday, I knew a long walk was bound to happen! After Magnolia’s nap, we loaded up the stroller and hit the trails.
The weather was absolutely amazing, so I took Magnolia and Theodore on a 3.5 mile walk. It was perfect! Once home, we ate dinner, played indoors, and got Magnolia ready for bed. I stayed up pretty late, watching the Capitals game and blogging a bit, but it was a pretty perfect Saturday!
Sunday morning Magnolia gave me an amazing Mother’s Day present and let me sleep in until 7:30AM (yay!). I felt like a new woman! After hanging out at home, taking Theodore out for a short walk, and putting Magnolia down for a little nap, we headed to City Perch for brunch. The food and mimosas were pretty good, but we weren’t impressed with the service. Regardless, it was great going out for Mother’s Day!
After brunch, we stopped by Kohl’s and then headed home for afternoon naps. After Magnolia woke up, we headed out for another long walk. It was another beautiful day and the perfect way to end the weekend.
I hope y’all had an amazing weekend and a beautiful Mother’s Day!
