December was a great month and I’m excited to create my January 2016 goals. December flew by, but was really, really great. We packed up our house, moved into our new house in a day, prepared for the holidays, and enjoyed every moment of the holiday season. I got some great workouts in, maintained my weight up until Christmas, and have had a blast spending time with my sister and friends these past few days.
Looking to January, my goal is to relax, organize, and settle in. After the holidays I crave routine, so that’s what my focus is. It’s back to work and back to our weekly routine. Our weekends should be quiet, which we’ll need in order to get things done around the house.
I want to end the month feeling recharged and refreshed.
In December I…
Attended a gazillion Christmas parties and enjoyed every ounce of the holidays
Enjoyed 11 days off work
December Goals Revisited…
Move little things before the big move (books, closets, kitchen stuff) – Check!
Crank out the big move in one day – Check! Neal and I killed it!
Begin to organize our new house – All of our boxes are unpacked and we’ve organized a few rooms. We still have a lot to do, but we’re getting there.
Attend Orange Theory twice a week – Yes! I love OrangeTheory.
Figure out my new workout schedule (from the new house) – I decided to stick with my old OrangeTheory location. It’s further away, but I just love it.
Continue to focus on losing weight through my Healthy Holidays Challenge – I maintained my weight for most of December. I gained 1.6 pounds between Christmas and New Years.
Enjoy every ounce of the holidays – I enjoyed every moment.
Focus on getting Magnolia and Theodore used to the new house – They did awesome!
Finish Christmas shopping asap – Who am I kidding? I was buying Christmas presents on Amazon on December 22.
Breathe – I know the move is going to be stressful, but it will get done – Check!
Make the most of my time off work! Go to the movies, decorate the house, take naps, and spend time with friends – It has been awesome!
Spend some time thinking about 2015 and creating goals for 2016 – I am so grateful for 2015 and love my goals for 2016!
Read my December book of the month – 10% Better – I didn’t even touch it. Womp womp.
Coming Up In January…
Not a whole lot! It’s a really quiet month and I’m looking forward to it. My mom is coming into town, which will be awesome, but other than that, we’re just hoping to settle into our new home and to get back into a routine post holidays.
