I am so happy to not be sick anymore. I still have a little cough, but I feel worlds better than I did last week. I used the weekend to ease back into weight loss, focusing on eating healthy foods, moving more, and only eating when I was hungry. Saturday I walked the Run Under the Lights 5K and yesterday I did a lot of work around the house before heading downtown for dinner. I did splurge on dinner last night, but I was smart during the day and only ate half of my entree at dinner since I had 2 drinks.
I kicked off the work week today with a workout at Orange Theory. It was not a pretty workout, but I did it. My goal for the week ahead is to stay on track every day and to give myself a pass on Thanksgiving. I want to make smart choices throughout the day on Thanksgiving, but I also want to enjoy myself. I’m looking forward to running the turkey trot Thursday morning and then spending the rest of the day with family and friends. I can’t wait to eat some stuffing!!
Goals For Week 3
1. Eat only when I’m hungry, watch my portion sizes, and focus on veggies
2. Workout at Orange Theory twice
3. Push myself during the 5 mile Turkey Trot
4. No sweets or Starbucks during the work week (except Thursday)
5. Send our family Christmas cards
6. Create Neal’s and my “Countdown to Christmas” calendar (can’t wait to share this with y’all)
Planned Workouts
Friday – Rest
Saturday – 5K walk
Sunday – Active rest
Monday – Orange Theory
Tuesday – Rest
Wednesday – Orange Theory
Thursday – 5 mile Turkey Trot
Meal Ideas
I didn’t eat much of the foods I had planned for last week as I was sick, so I want to use up lots of the veggies and veggie burgers I bought last week. We’ll have a new CSA box arriving tomorrow, so I plan to eat lots and lots of veggies leading up to Thanksgiving.
Breakfasts – eggs and veggies
Lunches – Salads, sandwiches, soups, and/or veggies
Dinners – Lean meat and veggies
I’m really looking forward to the week ahead and hopefully seeing a loss on the scale! I haven’t weighed myself in almost 2 weeks, which further confirmed that this summer really healed my relationship with the scale. I’m enjoying weighing in during this challenge but know that my life is not defined by the scale.
