I technically kicked off my first week of the healthy holidays challenge on Friday, but I’m excited to move into my first work week of the challenge. I still have a nasty cough from that cold I caught almost 2 weeks ago, but I’m definitely feeling better. I’m really looking forward to getting back into my groove this week and working towards my mini goals for the challenge.
This weekend was pretty good, but I wasn’t too happy with my diet. I ate a lot of carbs and didn’t eat enough veggies. Nothing bad, but I wish I had put a little more effort into balancing my diet over the weekend. I did get some great workouts in though, so I’m happy about that!
My ultimate goal is to lose at least a pound this week.
Goals For Week 1
1. Push myself in my workouts at Orange Theory
2. Get 7,500 steps each day
3. Fuel my body after my Orange Theory workouts
4. No sweets or Starbucks during the work week
5. Eat lots of veggies
6. Reach the half way mark of my November Book of the Month
Planned Workouts
I didn’t attend Orange Theory once last week, so I’m really excited to get back in the studio this week. I had my first workout this morning and am looking forward to going back on Wednesday. I know I want to workout on Tuesday and Thursday as well, but I don’t have a set plan yet. I’ll either workout at work, do a fitness dvd workout, or go for a run outside.
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – 5K Run/Walk
Sunday – Long walk with family
Monday – Orange Theory
Tuesday – 30 mins cardio
Wednesday – Orange Theory
Thursday – 30 mins cardio
Meal Ideas
This weekend I prepared a bunch of vegetables and will make the most of our CSA delivery on Tuesday. Yesterday I roasted purple sweet potatoes, sauteed peppers and onions, cleaned lettuce, and chopped carrots. I don’t have a set meal plan for the week, but I have a good sense of what I’ll eat.
Breakfast – Oatmeal or eggs
Lunch – Sandwich and soup, large salad, or leftovers
Snack – Veggies and hummus
Dinner – Protein and veggies
