As things begin to pick up at work, I’ve been trying really hard to maintain a balanced life. I know how easy it is for me to get caught up in the craziness of the day and not put my wellness first. Some of the things I’ve been working to maintain are…
- Workouts
- Eating foods that bring me energy (still not drinking coffee… eek!)
- Hanging out with my friends more often
- Using the weekend to recharge
- Being ok with blogging less
Yesterday after work I was able to hang out with some of my girlfriends, which was a blast. We first met up at El Centro Georgetown for dinner and then headed over to ENO for Paint Nite. I really enjoyed our Paint Nite as we were painting wine glasses instead of on canvas. Our instructor was also hilarious!
As I knew I was going out for dinner, I tried to eat healthy and light foods leading up to dinner. It was a really great day and definitely left me feeling recharged, which was the goal!
Breakfast – 2 eggs, 2 eggs white, blackberries, and strawberries
Snack – FlapJacked Protein Muffin (I’m obsessed with these things)
Lunch – squash, 4 turkey meatballs, carrots, and hummus
Dinner – Margarita, chips, salsa, guacamole, fish tacos, and some of my black beans and rice
