Tuesday night I had the pleasure of attending a pre-launch event for Chelsea Collective Tysons Corner Center, a new women’s fitness apparel boutique in the Washington, DC area.
Chelsea Collective is unique in that it carries a variety of fitness apparel brands including Nike, CALIA by Carrie Underwood, Under Armour, Lorna Jane Active, Spiritual Gangster, and more. I had never heard of Spiritual Gangster before visiting Chelsea Collective and I love that they offer niche trending brands. Their cotton t-shirts and tanks were just adorable! I loved that I could go to one store and buy tights from CALIA, a tank from Spiritual Gangster, and an Under Armour headband.
In addition to clothing, Chelsea Collective also sells footwear. They had everything from New Balance to Birkenstock to Hunter to Sanuks. Tennis shoes, sandals, rain boots, trainers, you name it! They also had this adorable sock collection from Stance. I can’t wait to buy a few pairs of their socks for Neal and me.
Overall the store just has an amazing vibe. The right hand side of the store is mostly Nike, with all other fitness apperal brands on the left hand side of the store. In the back of the store is the shoe department and beauty products.
In the very back of their store you’ll fine fitting rooms and a treadmill for gait analysis. Chelsea Collective really thought about the whole experience, understanding that customers may need help finding the right shoe and will need to try things on. They also have taloring, which is really great for those that might need tights or shirts hemmed.
My only complaint is that Chelsea Collective does not sell plus size clothes in store. They had plenty of L and XL, but I appreciate seeing plus size in women’s fitness apparel stores. As I shared the other day, I really believe that fitness gear can help to motivate all people, of all sizes, so I just wish stores would offer more sizes.
Chelsea Collective opens to the public Saturday!! If you’re in the DC area, you need to stop my Tysons Corner Center and visit Chelsea Collective. It’s close to the Old Navy.
