Monday marks the start of the 2015-2016 academic year, so I am soaking up every minute of the weekend!
For those who read Coffee Cake and Cardio regularly, you’ve probably noticed how MIA I’ve been. It’s actually pretty wild how busy I’ve been, but I’m so incredibly happy. I’m beyond busy at work and use every ounce of my evenings to play with Magnolia, catch up and relax with Neal, and focus on my personal wellness.
As I shared last Monday, Neal and I are working really hard to reach some goals we’ve set for ourselves and I’m going to brag, we kicked butt last week! Neal in particular. We both got all of our workouts in, stuck to our budget, and made our personal wellness a priority. Living a balanced life is my ultimate goal and this week was as balanced as they come.
Monday I woke up at 4:45AM, got a great workout in, and accomplished everything I needed to during the work day.
Tuesday after work I went out with some dear friends, enjoying a few glasses of summer.
Wednesday I got a great workout in, put on my linen pants, and bought a soy chai latte on my way into work. I haven’t had coffee in 6 weeks (eek!) but enjoyed ordering a chai this week.
Thursday was a rough day, but I came home from work, put on my workout clothes and went to Orange Theory. They were offering 2 free classes to new class goers on their website, so I signed up! I LOVED it but am a little nervous to see how expensive the classes are after my second class. We shall see…
Friday after work I picked up Magnolia from daycare and then headed back into the city for a Nationals baseball game with Neal and Magnolia.
We had so much fun Friday night. I loved hanging out with my co-workers and passing Magnolia around to everyone. She had a great time and the weather was perfect!
This morning I started the day with a Acai bowl from South Block and then headed over to Vichelle’s see the amazing Shelby Anderson.
I went blonder and absolutely love it. Shelby is the best!
Tomorrow we’re going to church, running a few errands, and then going to a NCAA Women’s Volleyball game. It should be a great day!
