Thursday afternoon Neal and I said goodbye to Magnolia and headed to LA for the WFA National Championship game.
This has been an absolutely magical football season for the DC Divas and I’m thrilled to be a part of this team. Our flight was long, but we passed the time by watching Mockingjay Part 1 and the Presidential debate. We got into LA around 9PM and then headed to our hotel.
Friday morning I tried to sleep in, but I was wide awake at 5:30AM thanks to the time change. We headed down to Venice Beach around 8AM and grabbed breakfast at Flake.
For breakfast I ordered the Acai Bowl and Neal ordered the smoked gouda breakfast sandwich.
After breakfast we went down to the beach and dipped our toes in the Pacific Ocean.
We got back to our hotel a little before lunch and then took the Oline to In n’ Out Burger. A quick nap pushed me to 2:30PM and then we were off to football practice. We had an amazing final practice, showered, and then headed to Komodo for dinner.
We ordered a ton of food! Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs. We ordered a few appetizers for the group (shrimp quesadillas and kimchi nachos) and then ordered entrees. Neal ordered 4 tacos and I ordered the salmon plate.
After dinner we headed back to the hotel and then had a late night film session as a team. I was in bed around 11PM and woke up this morning ready for the National Championship game!
If you in the LA area, please come out and support the DC Divas. Kickoff is at 7PM at Southwest College Stadium, near LAX. The game will also be streamed live and you can find that link here. I play on the offensive line, number 62. Your support means a lot to me and my team. #ALLIN
