I have never been much of a snacker. I grew up eating 3 meals a day, but often struggled with the hours leading up to dinner. If I didn’t eat enough for lunch, I’d come home from school or work super hungry and would eat whatever was easiest. That wasn’t always the healthiest so I’ve learned over the years that having healthy snacks on hand keeps me from overeating before dinner. In the same way I’ve also learned to eat more at each meal and to fill up on fruits and vegetables. Those tricks help me from overeating between meals.
Last year, Skinnygirl launched their Skinnygirl Snack Swap website and I’ve loved using their recipes. Today they launched 27 new recipes, including some delicious desserts! The recipes mirror their new snack bars, which I’m slightly obsessed with! Cookie dough anyone?
The Skinnygirl Snack Swap encourages you to swap out your snacks for more healthful options. Avocado toast is still one of my favorites, but I love their yogurt parfait recipes too.
This weekend I made us some Chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies from the Skinnygirl Snack Swap website and the Dark Chocolate Raspberry Yogurt Parfaits. The perfect swaps for some of my favorite flavors and treats.
