The DC Divas Oline
I love my entire team, but the oline has a special place in my heart. We work incredibly hard and I’m so proud of what we accomplished this weekend. We’re all so excited to go to LA for the championship game on August 8.
Kodiak Cakes
I love making Neal and I breakfast on the weekends. Whether it’s eggs or pancakes, there’s just something special about sleeping in (as late as Magnolia lets us) and making a hearty breakfast. I’ve made these Almond Butter and Jam Kodiak Cakes a few times now and we just love them! I make the Buttermilk & Honey Kodiak Cakes according to the box and then top with almond butter and blueberry jam. SO good!
EOS Shave Cream
I hate shaving. Hate it. But what can you do? I found this shaving cream at Target a few months ago and it’s my new fav!
Cantaloupe
It’s melon season! To be honest, I have a love, hate relationship with melon season. At first I’m like, “YAY! Watermelon” or “YAY! Cantaloupe”, but receiving 2-3 melons through our CSA a week can be a lot. I usually cut up my cantaloupe into cubs and then eat it as a snack, but last week I simply sliced the melon in half and dug in. I also added Barbaras Better Granola to the middle of the melon, which was amazing!
Simple Lunches
Simple really is better! Earlier last week I sauteed up some zucchini, roasted some vegetables, and baked a few chicken breasts. Having those ingredients on hand made work day lunches incredibly easy to create last week. Zucchini, chicken, and beef steak tomato… easy peasy!
CAVA!!
Man… what an amazing place to eat lunch. I’m a super greens, crazy feta, hummus, chicken, veggies, (lots of) pickled onions, and harissa kind of girl.
Pampering
I used to get manicures and pedicures all the time but stopped going regularly a few years ago. Last month I treated myself to a mani/pedi and went in for another treatment yesterday. There’s just something about being able to get away for an hour and to receive a little pampering. It’s such a fun treat, especially in the summer. (Essie Watermelon on my toes and Essie Marshmallow on my fingernails)
Kindle Paperwhite
I never thought I’d buy a reader, but man do I love the Kindle Paperwhite. I bought it a few months ago and have read more in 3 months that I have in the past year. It’s easy to read, gentle on the eyes, and the battery lasts forever. I do love paper books, but the Paperwhite has just made sense for me. Whether I’m sitting on the couch, laying in bed, or reading during my lunch break, I’ve really enjoyed having a number of books on one device.
