This weekend I enjoyed a girls’ weekend with Magnolia! Neal was out of town, so it was a perfect opportunity for me to catch up with my girlfriends and to spend some quality time with Magnolia.
Friday night after picking Magnolia up from daycare, my sweet friend Erin came over. The three of us went to dinner at Bucca di Beppo, which was the bomb dot com! Family style dinner for the win!
Saturday morning I woke up early, took Magnolia and Theodore for a walk, and then got Magnolia ready for swim lessons. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous about taking Magnolia swimming by myself, but it went great!
After swimming we went home, got cleaned up, and then headed to DC to hang out my dear friend Becky. We walked from her place in Columbia Heights to Dupont, up to Adams Morgan, and then back to Columbia Heights. It was awesome! The weather was amazing and I loved walking around the city with Becky and Magnolia.
Magnolia and I spent the rest of Saturday hanging out at home. After Magnolia went to bed I watched the first episode of the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt…What an amazing show!! I won’t admit to how many episodes I’ve watched this weekend, but I love this show!
Sunday morning Magnolia and I headed to Virginia to see my amazing (super mom) friend Kristy! Kristy just had her 3rd boy, so it was amazing to see her and her new bundle of joy! It was so much fun catching up and spending some time in their amazing home.
Once home, Magnolia and I greeted Daddy (yay) and then I went to the grocery store. Our CSA starts this week so I’m going to shift my shopping to Wednesdays. As we have friends coming over for dinner Tuesday night (Cinco de Mayo) I had to run to the store to get some essentials (Coronas, limes, queso ingredients, and taco fix-ins). I’m really looking forward to our CSA this year and am eager to plan our meals around what we get each week. I’m also really excited to blog about it!
After a 3 mile family walk Sunday evening we settled in, hung a few things around the house, and enjoyed an evening at home. I made this awesome Seven Spoons dinner and we watched more Kimmy Schmidt.
