Day 20|100 – Countdown to Summer
Today, after two days of pretty perfect eating, I had to navigate around my decision to eat some baked goods. I am working hard to eat in moderation and to work all foods into my diet. It’s far too easy for me to think of foods as “good” or “bad”, so I’m learning to eat a balanced diet. Since I had two slices of bread today, I had a really light lunch and a protein packed dinner. I ended the day feeling really great, which was my goal. No guilt!
The one thing that hasn’t been going well for me this week are my early morning workouts. I have been staying up really late, working on my blog and other projects, and have allowed the snooze button to get the best of me. Since I managed to snooze through my alarm today, I got a great workout in over lunch. I started my workout with some sprint intervals on the treadmill and then headed to the weight room. My legs were on fire!!
Breakfast – Smoothie (cashew milk, Triple Zero Banana Creme yogurt, peanut butter, baby spinach, and egg white protein powder)
Snack – grapes and 1 slice of banana bread bread
Lunch – English muffin and a Morningstar Farms black bean burger
Snack – 2 hard boiled eggs and 1 slice of lemon zucchini bread
Dinner – ground turkey over a bed of spinach
Workout – 4 rounds of sprints on the treadmill, lower body weight lifting, and core work
