Thursday Thoughts- A New Year

2014 was pretty amazing.  It’s honestly bittersweet to see it end, but I’m really excited about 2015.  Last New Years I already knew I was pregnant so my goals were centered around my growing daughter and becoming a mother (although I couldn’t blog about it at the time).  This year my goals are all about balance!  Balancing marriage, motherhood, work, blogging, AdvoCare, health, wellness, fitness, and relationships.

I’ve got a lot on my plate, but it’s a really awesome plate.  I truly love all that I do, so I want to balance it all as best I can.  Staying organized and sticking to my plan is truly key, while also remaining open to the things I can’t control.  2014 taught me that you really just have to have faith and focus on the future.  The rest will work out if you work hard.

With all that in mind, here are my goals for 2015…

1.  Track, measure, and plate the foods I want to eat before eating them.  I have the nasty habit of eating foods and then tracking them later.  The problem with that is that I don’t get an accurate measurement of how much I ate.  I know that weight loss is contingent on knowing exactly how much you’re eating and how much you’re burning, so I need to make this change.

2.  Lose weight and reach the goals I’ve set for myself.  Pretty straight forward.

3.  Lift with purpose.  I love lifting weights, but it has been years since I’ve followed a program.  This year I want to lift with my goals in mind.

4. Become a certified spin instructor and pursue teaching.  Pretty straight forward.

5.  Save money!  Now that we have our daughter in daycare it’s really important that we stick to our budget each month.  I want to continue to save for our future even though we’re spending a lot to cover the cost of daycare.

6.  Stay organized and don’t procrastinate. I feel like our time is stretched so thin these days.  I really want to stay on top of my to do lists and accomplish my goals each day.

7.  Treasure the weekends.  I want to make the most of our time off of work.  Spending quality time with Magnolia while also getting things accomplished before the work week starts again.  I want to end every weekend feeling refreshed and prepared for the week ahead.

What is one of your goals for 2015?

Looking for something?

The past month has been one of the most fulfilling The past month has been one of the most fulfilling months for me personally in who knows how long! On December 1, I took a leap and decided to start a business selling Green Compass CBD after 9 months of using CBD to reduce my anxiety, lessen feelings of panic, and to manage my stress and body aches/pain (and boy has it changed my days!!).

Over the past 46 days I have made incredible new friends, have helped men and women start using an organic CBD they can trust, made enough money to pay for an Airbnb getaway for my family, and have seen first hand how many people out there just need help!

Help with anxiety. Help with the burnout they’re experiencing. Help with being overwhelmed from this pandemic. Help with managing the feelings of stress from virtual learning and work. Help finding a way to make an extra income. Help with joint and muscle pain. And help with needing a community.

If you’re wanting to know how CBD can help you, take a leap and send me a note!

If you’re needing to make extra money and don’t know where to start, let’s talk!

I hope that all of my friends and followers here on IG know I’m an open book and love helping people reach their goals! If you’re even just a little curious about CBD or Green Compass, I’m here for you!
Start a side business for YOU! Start a side busin Start a side business for YOU! Start a side business to invest in YOURSELF! Start a side business to make YOUR own money! Start a side business because YOU want the joy that comes from helping others!

Woof, what a weird, sad, depressing, and confusing Woof, what a weird, sad, depressing, and confusing first week of the year.

To focus on the good, I took care of myself this week. I did multiple meditations, took time to be outside, made realistic to do lists, established boundaries to give myself space, celebrated my daughter’s thriving in their first week back to virtual learning post break, and focused on the things I love.

One moment I treasure each work day are those first 15 minutes. I look out the window, drink my coffee, and make a list of everything on my mind (Brain Dump). It gives me clarity, focus, and just a moment for ME. Before meetings, before projects, before serving others, I take a moment for ME!

What did you do for YOU this week?

Last January I just felt awful. Seasonal depressio Last January I just felt awful. Seasonal depression was on the horizon, there weren’t things to look forward to, and little did I know a global pandemic was around the corner. I keep saying 2020 was the year I needed to turn things around, and I mean it. I found CBD, which helped my anxiety/stress/depression, I was blessed with more time with my family, I moved more, and I lost weight. It has been really good for me to open up to my needs and to allow change to happen. I continue to work on being MY best self, which is a battle as I’ve spent so much of my life trying to be better for others. It’s a shift I’m here for! Really looking forward to today and the days ahead.
A fresh start. One of the many reasons I love new A fresh start. One of the many reasons I love new years. Today I opened my new (and first) Archetypes deck, which brought lots of joy. I started with an interview, getting to know the deck, and then did a reading for 2021. I’ve always loved Tarot cards and knew I wanted my own (thanks, Neal!). This is The Wild Unknown Archetypes Deck and it’s just beautiful ❤️
