If you were to ask me about my activity level, I’d tell you that I’m a fairly active person. I do lots around the house when I’m home, get up from my desk at work when I can, workout 4 times a week on average, and strive to move more across the board. What I’ve learned over the years though is that as the mercury falls so does my activity level.
On a cold December day I want nothing more than to snuggle up in my electric blanket with a hot up of apple cider in my hands while watching Christmas Vacation. Getting up and moving isn’t always the first thing on my mind this time of year… Enter my Fitbit!
I’ve loved wearing the Fitbit Flex as it provides an honest picture of my activity level! It’s too easy for me to think that I’ve take more steps than I actually have. 10,000 steps a day has always been my goal, but boy is it easy to stay below the 5,000-step mark when it’s cold outside.
This holiday season I’m challenging myself to move more and to take more steps! I want to make the most of this time of year so I’ve come up with some fun ways to get more steps in each week while wearing my Fitbit…
The Fitbit App on my iPhone also has Challenges that I’m going to accept throughout the holiday season! No matter where I’m at in a given week, I love that Fitbit helps you to reach your goals through competition! Instead of sitting at my desk, I’ll challenge myself to move more often. Instead of filling my weekend with stationary plans, I’ll make it a point to go to the mall, play outside, or enjoy all that the holiday season has to offer.
This holiday season I’m going to #FindYourFit! I want to enjoy this joyous time of year while continuing to work towards my weight loss goals! I know that by moving more, I’ll feel healthier and happier through the holiday season.
