These are the hardest weeks if you ask me. The weeks when you plan out your meals, workout, feel good come weigh-in day, and yet you gain weight. Looking back on the week I can see the areas I need to work on. While I did a MUCH better job of eating more fruits and vegetables each day, I know that I need to work on portion control around the board. I ate really healthy and wholesome foods each day but I didn’t always measure out what I was eating. The calories add up.
This week I gained 0.2 pounds bringing my total weight loss to 2.0 pounds. I’m not discouraged, to be honest, because I’m learning more and more about my habits each week. I now have a month of weight loss under my belt and despite gaining 0.6 pounds this month I’ve still lost 2 pounds. Would I like my weight loss to be faster? Sure, but I truly believe that the process is helping me to create healthier habits that will stick with me long term.
Here’s to week 5!
