I am so overjoyed that it’s August! A few months ago I made it my goal to have a gazillion things done by August 1 and I’m honestly really happy with all we’ve accomplished. I still have some things to get done before the baby arrives (due September 8), but August is looking to be a really relaxing month!
Last night Neal and I attended a James Taylor concert in Bristow, Virginia, and it was so nice being able to sit on a blanket, eat pizza, and listen to some great American classics.
It was such a beautiful evening and made me equally appreciate this last bit of time Neal and I have together and the arrival of our daughter in a few weeks. We both know that nights like last night will be hard to come by, but we also look forward to bringing our daughter to concerts and letting her run around in the grass on a beautiful night.
If you’ve never seen James Taylor in concert, I highly recommend it! He’s a really amazing artist, has an absolutely beautiful voice, and his stories are just amazing. It was the perfect way to close out the month of July!
In July I …
Celebrated Neal’s and my 2 year anniversary
Had an amazing experience working with Stefanie Harrington for our maternity photo shoot (can’t wait to see photos!!)

Coming Up In August
Weeks 35, 36, 37, and 38 of my pregnancy
A whole lot of “nothing” – We (as in I) didn’t want to pack the calendar as technically our daughter could arrive this month. Our goal is to enjoy the month, to be spontaneous, and to rest as much as we can.
Around the House
Clean the entire house if I have the energy or hire someone
Hang artwork!!! Seriously, I just need to do this!
For the Baby
Buy the last things we need for the baby
Ask Neal to assemble the baby gear
Install the car seat and get it inspected
Wash all of the baby’s newborn and 3 month clothing
Finish decorating her nursery
Health and Fitness
Eat lots of vegetables!
Take spin classes at The Pedal Studio as long as I feel good
Get a pedicure
Get a massage (maybe)
Go on as many dates as possible with Neal before the baby arrives
