Well it’s official, I’m losing my brain. It all started Friday morning when I remembered at 7:05AM that I had a 7:30AM appointment with a daycare provider before work. Thankfully I was able to make it on time, but I absolutely forgot that I had that appointment. I don’t even know what reminded me.
Thankfully Friday was a great day. I got a lot done and enjoyed a beautiful lunch outside. As I didn’t have time to pack a lunch in the morning, I put together a salad at Whole Foods (lettuce, peas, cherry tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, grilled chicken, and dressing).
Saturday morning started off great! I showered, got ready, made an amazing breakfast, and figured Neal and I had plenty of time to get to our newborn care and CPR class. For whatever reason I could have sworn the class was from 9:30AM-1PM but after pulling up the e-mail in order to get directions I realized that the class was actually from 9AM-1PM… oops!
Neal and I arrived late but we had a great time at the class. It was fun being able to learn a few new things and to see Neal learn things like diapering and swaddling.
After class Neal and I grabbed lunch at Cava and then ran a few errands before I got my haircut. Nothing fancy. Just de-poofed it.
Sunday morning I enjoyed some me time at spin before the day got going. It was a tough class, mainly because the studio was incredibly hot, but it felt great to get a good workout in.
After making breakfast and organizing a few things around the house Neal and I ran to Costco to stock up our pantry. I know we most likely have 6 or so weeks until the baby arrives but I made it my goal to have most of our prep work done by August 1. We bought a few staples at Costco yesterday (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, etc.) that way we hopefully won’t have to run to Target right after the baby arrives.
We closed out our Sunday the same way we did Saturday, watching the Nationals game, catching up on our DVR, cleaning, making a delicious dinner (rice with shrimp and a side salad). It was a really great weekend!
