For months I’ve had little energy and close to zero motivation. These past few weeks workouts have been really difficult, clean laundry has sat in baskets, and the new townhouse has gone undecorated. Yesterday was truly the first day in a LONG time that I had tons of energy AND motivation! I crushed my to do list and got so much done around the house.
Bright and early, Neal and I visited 3 daycares! I was a little overwhelmed going into the search but I was extremely happy with the options we now have. It was a great kickoff to our search. I also grabbed a grande iced skim caramel macchiato for the road.
After dropping Neal off at the metro, I raced home in order to sweep and mop the living room before our new couches were delivered. Since I already had the broom and mop out, I went ahead and cleaned the entire downstairs.
Just after lunch our couches arrived and boy do we love them!! We got a sofa and a love seat, both of which are reclining sofas! They’re incredibly comfortable and perfect for our new home. Now we just need an area rug and to hang a few things and our living room will be set!
Theodore even approved!!
After watching Mercer beat Duke, I ran to Target, HomeGoods, and Lane Bryant. I am absolutely obsessed with everything in stores right now because the Cayenne color in this year’s spring collection is one of my absolutely favorite colors.
While I still feel like we’re having a boy, seeing all of these pieces at Target made me incredibly excited if it’s a girl! I am SOOOO loving this color for a nursery!
After running errands, I took advantage of the sunshine and went for a 2 mile walk with Theodore. It was a really nice walk and a great way to get my workout in.
Friday night I organized and decorated Neal’s man cave, which he loved, and made some homemade chili and cornbread. Eating dinner, watching this week’s episode of Scandal, and falling asleep to NCAA basketball made for a perfect ending to a perfectly productive day!
Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend!
