SNOW DAY!!! Two words I love hearing during the winter months here in DC. Theodore was pretty thrilled too!
After watching the Today show and enjoying some scrambled eggs, Neal and I set out for a long walk with Theodore just as the snow was beginning to fall. There is just something so beautiful about the first flakes.
I am totally embarrassed to say that the next 5 hours were spent working on a few projects while watching 6 episodes of LOST. GAHH… Seriously. Way too much Netflix for one day. Oops!
For lunch I had a big bowl of salad with tomatoes, chicken, and light ranch dressing, followed by a big bowl of grapes a few hours later.
After taking Theodore for another walk in the snow, Neal and I decided to play Monopoly. In my head, Monopoly is the best board game ever, but in actuality it kinda stinks. I’m always drawn in by the colors and thoughts of owning my favorite properties, but without fail, I end up hating the game.
Neal and I gave it a good go, but after a while we realized it was better to just call it day. Sometimes a few rounds around the board is all you need to get your Monopoly fix.
For dinner, I baked 2 pieces of salmon in a 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes. Alongside the salmon I served mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was exactly what I was craving after a carbalicious weekend with my parents.
Snow days often come just when you need them! Although I didn’t fold a lick of laundry, I really enjoyed being home with my boys, watching way too much LOST, going on walks with Theodore, and eating some healthy foods. It was a perfect day.
