This past weekend was just about perfect!! It all started Friday night after work with a 90 minute restorative yoga class at Thrive Yoga. It was my first time taking a restorative class, which has you hold various positions for 10 minutes at a time, and let me tell y’all, it was absolutely amazing. I can’t think of a better way to end the work week and to start the weekend.
Saturday morning Neal and I drove over to Arlington to drop Theodore off at his groomer. While Theo got his hair done Neal and I grabbed breakfast at Bayou Bakery.
I ordered the “build a biscuit” with turkey sausage, eggs, and cheddar cheese which was perfection. The south knows how to do breakfast!
After breakfast Neal and I hit up the 9:15AM showing of Catching Fire!! You read that right, the 9:15AM show! Not only was Catching Fire perfection but the Courthouse movie theater is probably the best place to see a movie in the DC area. Every theater is filled with leather recliners instead of chairs.
Saturday afternoon was spent cleaning the apartment and putting out Christmas decorations.
After church Saturday night, Neal and I headed over to our friend Erin’s wine and cheese party which was a blast!
Sunday was an incredibly beautiful and yet extremely chilly day!
First thing Sunday morning I headed over to Whole Foods and Giant to beat the crowd. There’s nothing worse than grocery shopping during the holiday season in my opinion.
After running errands, working on projects, and watching football, I headed over to Go Figure Potomac for the 4PM Barre class. Barre is such a great workout and I love that Go Figure has a 4PM class on Sundays.
Neal and I had an absolutely fabulous weekend and are really looking forward to having Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving!! It’s hard to believe it’s the holiday season already!
