Is it really October?? Boy has it been hot here in DC this weekend! Even when shopping for beer on Friday I couldn’t decide between a summer or fall beer, so I bought both.
Yesterday morning after attending one of the DC Divas football tryouts, Neal and I headed over to Del Ray for their annual Art on the Avenue festival.
It felt wrong walking in 80 degree heat, but it was so much fun seeing all of the artists.
For lunch we stopped at a new to us burger joint in Del Ray called Holy Cow. Let me tell y’all, these were probably the best burgers we’ve EVER had!
Neal ordered The Popper which was UNREAL! The Popper is a natural Angus beef patty topped with fried jalapeños, garlic aioli, soft cream cheese, chipotle ketchup and bacon on a toasted brioche bun. Soooo good!
I ordered the Turkey Reuben burger which was so perfect and delicious. I loved it! The Turkey Reuben is a grilled turkey patty topped with swiss cheese, sauerkraut & homemade thousand island dressing on a brioche bun. Yumm!
After lunch we walked around the rest of the festival, walking 3.5 miles total.
After the festival we ran over to The GAP for a few new outfits for fall…
and a venti unsweetened iced green tea at Starbucks.
After cleaning up around the house and watching some college football, I settled in and watched one of my favorite movies of all time, Mannequin! LOVE this movie! Y’all know who the mannequin is right…
After sleeping in this morning, I mixed together some Spark, Arginine Extreme, and Biocharge for my 6 mile run.
The trail was just beautiful today but boy was it hot! And I mean HOT!
I had to walk much more than planned, but I busted out my 6 miles.
After our run Neal and I grabbed lunch at Panera. I ordered the pick 2 – Mediterranean veggie sandwich and their new roasted turkey and wheat berry salad which were delicious!
Afterwards we headed to Target, Giant, and to Costco to pick up my new glasses! I really love them and loved their price tag even more! (That’s two duck faces in one post for y’all btw)
Tonight I’m creating my weekly plan, including my meal and workout plan, and getting ready for the week ahead. I am determined to keep this weight loss train a rolling and to get out of the 220’s by the end of October!
