This morning I went on a glorious Target run and bought a gazillion things I didn’t need… including these Pumpkin Spice M&Ms! I did what any other ‘wife of a sugar
addict lover’ would do and immediately made cookies after lunch!
I followed the Toll House Cookie recipe but changed it up a little…
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 bag pumpkin spice M&Ms
Start by preheating the oven to 375° F.
Next, combine flour, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour and spice mixture. Lastly, add in full bag of M&Ms. Place a rounded tablespoon of cookie dough onto baking sheets.
Bake the cookies for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
UPDATE: The M&Ms have a spice in them but I wouldn’t say they have much of a pumpkin taste. I added pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon to the cookie batter to up the fall factor. The cookies are delicious!
