A few weeks ago I started wearing the Polar RC3 GPS during my workouts and quickly fell in love with all that this watch can do!
The RC3, which has a heart rate sensor, has been awesome for all of my workouts ranging from Turbo Fire to spin class to walks with Neal to training runs. It is great being able to know my heart rate, how many calories I’ve burned, and the distance traveled.
Today Neal and I went for a 4 mile run and it was great being able to strap on my watch, hit the trail, and to know exactly how far I ran and how many calories I burned.
The part of the Rock Creek Park trail we ran on was SO incredibly hilly, but I was really proud of myself for pushing through and running the 4 miles in 47:04.05
Each time I hit a mileI pressed lap on my RC3 which gave me my mile time…
Mile 1 – 11:32.8
Mile 2- 11:49.6
Mile 3- 11:59.2
Mile 4- 11:36.1
Being able to follow my heart rate is also a feature of the Polar RC3 that I love.
With the body weight I programed into the watch the RC3 is able to calculate my calories based on my heart rate during the training, which I love. I’ve especially loved seeing my calories burned on my long walks with Neal and Theodore lately. Burning 300 plus calories on a 45 minute walk is great and has reminded me how important any form or exercise and/or movement is!
I’ve really loved the Polar RC3 and how it has helped me with my training goals and my focus during my workouts! I honestly can’t imagine working out without it now.
