Well… I’ve managed to overload myself again, SHOCKER! I’ve reached a total fitness overload this week!
When football season ended mid July I was eager to focus on other workouts and to work on some various fitness goals. Football season is consuming and didn’t allow for me to get other workouts in. I did cardio and weight lifting from time to time, but I was mainly focused on our three practices a week and football games.
Right after season ended, Neal and I started our Army 10 Miler training. Running is a challenge for me, but it’s something I enjoy. I enjoy running with my husband, pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and finishing the race. Our training schedule has us running on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, though Sunday hasn’t happened since we started.
This week also marked the start of DC Divas Off Season Training! Every Thursday night we get together to run hills, go through HIIT workouts, and to lift weights. This is the time to get faster and stronger, so I’m glad we’re starting workouts together. I will say though, running Thursday morning and going to off season training Thursday night is a little rough…
I also have signed up to play flag football this fall with some of my DC Divas team mates. The games will be on Monday nights, but again it adds another workout to my week and another commitment.
And lastly, I am doing Turbo Fire! The Turbo Fire challenge started officially this past Monday, and while I’d love to do every single workout with the women signed up, I am realizing that I’ve over committed myself to all of these workouts.
It stinks because though I’d love to do the full 90 day program, my other workouts are really important to me. I am still going to do Turbo Fire, but I’m going to have to adapt it. So here’s how my weekly workout calendar is shaping up…
Monday – Turbo Fire and Flag Football
Tuesday – Running
Wednesday – Turbo Fire
Thursday -Off season training
Friday – Running
Saturday – Rest
Sunday – Long Run
