I absolutely love the Georgetown waterfront. Every time I’m down there I think of how fun it would be to go running along the water. (I might need to add that to my to do list!)
Amber, Carly, and I met up at Farmers Fishers Bakers for dinner! We’re all huge fans of Founding Farmers, so we’ve been itching to try out it’s sister restaurant.
I arrived a little before the girls so I grabbed a beer at the bar before they arrived. The tap list was awesome as well as their cocktail menu.
I ordered the Schlafly Munich Durkel which was an amazing lager!!
Once the girls arrived we started with the house made pretzels and dips. We all agreed that the pimento cheese was the best, though I also loved the onion dip.
For dinner I ordered the Brussels Sprouts and Blue Cheese Salad topped with steak. The salad was amazing but the portion size was incredibly small. All three of our dishes were very little, which was surprising compared to Founding Farmers.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the dessert. We ordered the ice cream sandwiches, which Carly and Amber LOVED. Carly really enjoyed the strawberry ice cream inside one of the sandwiches and they both thought the chocolate chip cookie sandwich was the best.
The other dessert we ordered, which I ate most of, was the key lime pie. Although the ice cream sandwiches looked awesome, key lime pie is by far one of my favorite desserts so I passed on the sandwiches. The key lime pie was THE BOMB!!! I loved it and I definitely want to take Neal back just to have the pie.
We had a really great time at Farmers Fishers Bakers. I just love being able to go out with my girlfriends, to chit chat, and to enjoy a great meal!
