Yesterday was such a good day!
Neal and I woke up pretty early and headed over to Virginia to get Theodore a haircut. The lady we found, first through a Groupon, is well worth the drive to Arlington. Plus we get to have breakfast at Mancini’s, our favorite breakfast place in Alexandria.
After a long wait for their specials (they open at 8AM on Saturdays but don’t post specials until 8:45AM ish) Neal and I ordered some yummy breakfasts!
Neal ordered the waffles deluxe, which was topped with a strawberry-rhubarb sauce. He loved it, though the breakfast sliders are still his absolute favorite!
I ordered the Portobello Scramble which was eggs, mushrooms, spinach, onions, roasted red peppers, and feta. On the side same roasted potatoes and an English muffin.
It was an absolutely perfect breakfast, especially for game day!
Once home, Theodore and I snuggled on the couch while Neal took a nap. Around 2PM I made myself some pasta for pre-game meal and started to get ready for the game.
Yesterday’s game was our last game of the regular season, which also determined the division. If we beat Columbus then we’d win the division. If not, Pittsburgh would win.
We played a great game and won 42-20! DIVISION CHAMPS BABY!! Now what this means is that we’ll have a bye week next weekend (first round of playoffs) and then will play in week 2 against a winner from week 1.
After the game I hung out with my team mates, ate some incredibly yummy foods, and watched the bruises start to appear. The other team used some unique tactics, like pinching my arms… classy.
This morning I’m resting, enjoying a smoothie, and catching up on Coffee Cake and Cardio.
Yesterday was a great day and I’m so proud of my team! I’m excited to go into playoffs and to see what we can do!
Happy Sunday!
