7 Week Challenge: Week 2 Weigh In

End of week 2! Can you believe it?  I truly hope that you had a great week and that you were able to see changes from the first week in the challenge.  My second week was completely different from the first!  I changed a lot of things, starting with my mentality.

On Sunday, I took some time to journal and to really think about my goals and where I want to be.  You see, it’s easy for me to want to lose weight but for my actions not to follow.  Week 1 was tough because I wasn’t working out due to injury and had a lot of work events to attend.  Sometimes life happens, but was my mind really in the weight loss state last week?

This week I had to shift my brain and remember WHY I want to lose weight.  Do I want to wear small clothes? YES! Do I want to feel more comfortable in my body? YES!  Do I want to be in better shape? YES!  But the REAL reason I want to lose weight is so that I can be as healthy as possible before having children.

I truly believe that in order to get the weight loss train rolling you have to fully connect with your “reason”.  It’s different for everyone but it will help you to push through the temptations and to stay focused on what matters.  Right now, this is my focus (WE ARE NOT PREGNANT)…

So how did I do this week??

Starting Weight: 230.0 (May 3, 2013)
Last Week’s Weigh-In: 233.0
This Weigh-in: 230.2
Difference: -2.8
Total Weight Loss: +0.2

I am really happy with the loss this week and am eager to get this train out of the station.  My goal next week is to focus on my 3 changes and to increase my workouts.

If this wasn’t a good week for you, please do not get discouraged.  You can turn things around at any moment!! Remember, you are in control of your life, how you feel, what you eat, and your workouts.   Two reads I would recommend is “The Balance Between Pain and Pleasure” and “What’s Keeping You At Your Current Weight“.  I reread those two posts when I’m having a hard time.

Now one thing that really helped me this week was to plan ahead and always have meals and snacks packed!! One of my favorite snacks these days are KIND Bars, as they are made of simple ingredients and are extremely filling (and tasty).

KIND Bar

I’ve tried almost all of the flavors and I think my favorite so far is this baby…  I mean, who can beat 10g of protein and all that sweet nutty goodness??

KIND Bar

As we close out week 2, one of y’all have the chance to win some KIND Bars from Coffee Cake and Cardio! By leaving a comment about your week, your weight loss, your fitness, etc., you will be entered in to win!!  I will choose a winner on Sunday, May 19, 2013.

This giveaway is CLOSED!  Congratulations to Charmaine who said “Congratulations on your week! Mine was a little mixed- I sprained my toe on Sunday which made me unable to put a lot of weight on my foot so I had to hold off on working out until the end of the week, which was a bummer. On the positive side, it definitely made me think more about what I was eating since I knew I couldn’t work out and I felt really good about the choices I made this week. It paid off and I found myself down another 1 lb. I hope I can keep up the trend. My goal last weekend was to try to meet my calories goals, which is hard for me. Saturday was a bust but Sunday was good so I felt pretty good about that. Thanks for having this challenge- it’s been fun!”

So tell me, how was week 2?

Looking for something?

I need to be honest... -It’s terrifying seeing I need to be honest...

-It’s terrifying seeing DC shut down and filled with troops. I am scared for my friends and colleagues in the District.
-I’m anxious about tomorrow’s inauguration
-I’m stressed out by my to do list
-I’m nervous about the days ahead
-I miss my parents and brothers
-I wish my kids could just go back to school and spend time with their friends
-I want to just lay down and binge watch Bridgerton again

This is my reality this morning. This is how I’m really feeling. So I took my CBD, put both Focus and Calm on, ate a filling breakfast, spent time with my kids, cleaned up my to do list, sat outside for a few minutes, and cleaned my desk before starting the work day.

Do what you can. Take care of yourself. You’re not alone!

Has my life changed since I started using CBD??? 1 Has my life changed since I started using CBD??? 10000%! CBD gave me the head space, freedom from anxiety, and control back to be able to focus on ME!! Did taking CBD cause weight loss, no!, but with the absence of stress, anxiety, and pain from using CBD I could focus on my body, health, wellness, and fitness. CBD has been a big piece of my puzzle these past 10 months. This time last year I was miserable and now, I’m thriving!
The past month has been one of the most fulfilling The past month has been one of the most fulfilling months for me personally in who knows how long! On December 1, I took a leap and decided to start a business selling Green Compass CBD after 9 months of using CBD to reduce my anxiety, lessen feelings of panic, and to manage my stress and body aches/pain (and boy has it changed my days!!).

Over the past 46 days I have made incredible new friends, have helped men and women start using an organic CBD they can trust, made enough money to pay for an Airbnb getaway for my family, and have seen first hand how many people out there just need help!

Help with anxiety. Help with the burnout they’re experiencing. Help with being overwhelmed from this pandemic. Help with managing the feelings of stress from virtual learning and work. Help finding a way to make an extra income. Help with joint and muscle pain. And help with needing a community.

If you’re wanting to know how CBD can help you, take a leap and send me a note!

If you’re needing to make extra money and don’t know where to start, let’s talk!

I hope that all of my friends and followers here on IG know I’m an open book and love helping people reach their goals! If you’re even just a little curious about CBD or Green Compass, I’m here for you!

Woof, what a weird, sad, depressing, and confusing Woof, what a weird, sad, depressing, and confusing first week of the year.

To focus on the good, I took care of myself this week. I did multiple meditations, took time to be outside, made realistic to do lists, established boundaries to give myself space, celebrated my daughter’s thriving in their first week back to virtual learning post break, and focused on the things I love.

One moment I treasure each work day are those first 15 minutes. I look out the window, drink my coffee, and make a list of everything on my mind (Brain Dump). It gives me clarity, focus, and just a moment for ME. Before meetings, before projects, before serving others, I take a moment for ME!

What did you do for YOU this week?
