Yesterday morning I woke up with a horrible cold. I’m always amazed how much can happen to your body over night. I mean, how do you go to bed feeling ok and wake up with a sore throat, stuffed nose, and cough? After shedding a few tears and coming to the realization that I needed to stay home, I snuggled up with this cup for the day.
Theo quickly snuggled up with me on the couch and slept on me for over 3 hours. The morning nap was good, but sadly I didn’t wake up feeling any better.
I spent the rest of the day sipping tea, drinking Monster-C juice, reading magazines and blogs, and resting.
Being home from work is no fun when you’re sick, but I’m grateful I was able to take some time to heal.
The highlight of my day though was when Neal came home. He bought me some “Get Well Soon” flowers, which was super sweet. I love it when Neal surprises me like this, it’s such a sweet and caring gesture.
I am still home today, but am really hoping to feel better soon. I think my sore throat is the worst part!
In other news, it’s weigh-in day. I’ve decided to move my weigh-ins to Fridays, so you’ll have to check back every Friday to see my results.
Weight Watchers week 6 weigh-in comes after 5 days in Iowa, in which I ate out almost every meal and had my fair share of wine and cheese. Since Tuesday, November 20 I’ve only tracked 5 days, so I really need to get back to tracking everything I eat and drink.
Starting Weight: 234.6 lbs
Last Weigh-in: 223.8 lbs
This Weigh-in: 226.0 lbs
Difference: +2.2 lbs
Total Weight Loss: -8.6 lbs
I wasn’t bummed about my past weigh-ins, but this one hurts. Do I know why I gained 2.2 pounds? A 100%, but it still stinks.
Moving into week 7, here are my goals:
- Fight this cold
- Track everything I eat (I want to go on a tracking streak!)
- Make wise choices at the Christmas parties I am attending
