I thought it’d be fun to show y’all a breakdown of my life these days. My routine isn’t where I want it to be just yet, but this is a pretty good picture of my days with a 10 week old puppy and and an out of town husband.
5:30AM – Wake up call!
5:42AM – Take Theodore outside to go potty
6:05AM – Headed back inside and fed Theodore.
6:21AM – Took Theodore outside for walk number two post breakfast.
7:12AM – Returned from walk… my puppy did NOT want to focus on going potty this morning.
7:22AM – Shower time! I take pretty quick showers and follow it up with picking out an outfit, getting dressed, and doing my makeup.
7:40AM – Packed my lunch and made a smoothie for breakfast (frozen banana, cherry mix, coconut milk, vanilla protein powder, and coconut water).
7:58AM – Departed for the metro train
8:55AM – Arrived at work but made a quick pit stop at the bookstore to buy a new Vera Bradley day planner.
9:05AM – Kick off the day with a cup of coffee at my desk.
12:31PM – Began munching on my lunch in between meetings. I had my sandwich (made with Ezekiel Bread and a spicy veggie patty) first and then had my yogurt and grapes around 4:00PM.
5:00PM – Left work and headed straight home to take care of Theodore.
5:52PM – Arrived at home and took Theodore right out.
6:20PM – Fed Theodore dinner and took him back out for a long walk.
7:30PM – Arrived back home and began cooking dinner for myself. On the menu for tonight, shredded brussels sprouts with mushrooms and bacon.
*I began dinner by cooking 2 pieces of bacon. Once the bacon was cooked, I removed it from the pan and drained the oil. I then added 1 1/2 cups of sliced mushrooms to the pan and sauteed until well cooked. To the pan I then added the bacon, chopped, and the full bag of brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts took about 10 minutes to cook. I finished the dish off with some season salt and 1 tbsp of lemon juice.
7:55PM – I sat down to eat dinner and watched this week’s episode of Master Chef.
9:15PM- I took Theodore out for his final walk of the day.
9:43PM – I finalized this post, snuggled up to a Joyce Meyers book, an iced cold beer, and watched the Nationals vs. Cubs game. I will probably be headed to bed in about 30 minutes. Starting it all over tomorrow… Can’t wait for Neal to get home. I miss him and the gym.
