I am happy to say that I’m finally starting to feel better! My doctors visit yesterday was “fun” and they confirm that I do indeed have asthma. After a few lung function tests and a nebulizer treatment, I headed to Target to pick up all my meds (lots of steroids) and spent the rest of the day resting.
Last night’s dinner also helped with my healing… or at least I like to think it did. A few weeks ago Neal and I found these turkey corn dogs at Trader Joe’s and dove into them last night. Boy oh boy were they good!! At 150 calories and with just 4.5 grams of fat, they were a tasty treat! I LOVE corn dogs!
So this may not be something you struggle with but I’ve been wanting to open up this can of worms. Do you ever struggle with having the urge to keep eating something until it’s gone?
Sometimes I’ll pour myself a bowl of cereal and think “ehh, there’s only a little left in the box, I’ll just finish it off” instead of just pouring my serving. Other times I’ll think about the food in my pantry and will keep going back to it until the food is gone, like Nutella or ice cream. Why do I have to keep eating until it’s gone? Why does the food become such a focus?
Thankfully there are plenty of times when foods will sit in my cabinet for weeks before I finish them. It’s all about control which many times, I don’t have. This is one of the reasons why there are certain foods I just can’t buy. Some of the foods on my “no, no” list are Nutella, peanut butter, Honey Bunches of Oats, and mint chocolate ice cream.
Can you relate?
