The Two Day Work Week

I have two huge pet peeves when taking a spin/cycling class.  The first being when an instructor is off of their bike for 60% of the class.  To me, it says that you’re tired, that you can’t do the workout you’re putting us through, and that you’re not into the workout.  The second being students in the class who do their own routine and don’t follow the instructor.  I’m sorry but if we’re climbing for 8 minutes and you’re doing sprint intervals, we’re not following the same instructor.  Sadly, both pet peeves occurred in this morning’s class.  On the plus side, it was a great class and totally kicked my tail but the instructor and classmate were driving me bonkers.  Maybe that’s what pushed me harder!?!

Thankfully today is my Friday!  Some things were thrown at me unexpectedly yesterday, like having to make some big changes to my Capstone, so my time off this week couldn’t have come at a better time.  Here’s my plan for the rest of the “work” week:

Wednesday

  • Spin at 5:45AM (cycle boot camp)
  • Laundry
  • Clean my apartment: Kitchen, Bathroom, living room… pretty much the whole thing
  • Do graduate work, finishing all of the week’s assignments
  • Visit my friend Kristy
  • Visit my friend Danielle
  • Pick up Stephanie from the airport

Thursday

  • Spin at 5:45AM (toneDEF cycle – focused on the booty this week!)
  • Hang out with Stephanie!  I’m hoping to take her into the city and I’m sure we’ll talk wedding too.
  • Dinner date with Stephanie and Neal

Friday

  • Breakfast with Stephanie and Becky at Mancini’s
  • Grocery shopping for the cabin with Stephanie and Becky
  • Pick up Melissa from the airport
  • Drive to West Virginia!
  • Girl time!!!

As I’ll be hanging out with a lot of friends this week, I know I’ll probably consume more calories than if I was sitting at my desk for the next three days.  To combat that, I am going to spin 4 out of the 5 work days.  Dinners are still an issue for me, especially when I’m stressed, but I’m working on it one day at a time.  Yesterday was ok eating wise, but I was a grazing queen last night.  When I got home at 6 I had 2 thin cheese sandwiches.  2 hours later I had 1/4 cup of Neal’s pasta and then 2 hours later I had a small bowl of cereal.  Was I hungry?  Yes, but I didn’t need to eat so many carbs.

Monday’s Food Log

Breakfast- Everything bagel with quattro formaggio cheese and an iced coffee with half and half (410 calories)

Lunch- Cucumber salad with feta cheese and grilled chicken, blood orange Greek yogurt, and a cherry coke zero (501 calories)

Snacks- Caramel corn rice cakes (200 calories)

Dinner- 2 sandwich thins with quattro formaggio cheese, 1/4 cup of Neal’s pasta, Honey bunches of oats, and soy milk (900 calories) Carbs anyone?  This was over a 5 hour time span but still… I was a snacking queen last night.

Total calories consumed- 2011 calories

Calories burned at spin- 776 calories

Total calories for the day- 1235 calories

Do you have any fitness/gym/class pet peeves?

Looking for something?

I need to be honest... -It’s terrifying seeing I need to be honest...

-It’s terrifying seeing DC shut down and filled with troops. I am scared for my friends and colleagues in the District.
-I’m anxious about tomorrow’s inauguration
-I’m stressed out by my to do list
-I’m nervous about the days ahead
-I miss my parents and brothers
-I wish my kids could just go back to school and spend time with their friends
-I want to just lay down and binge watch Bridgerton again

This is my reality this morning. This is how I’m really feeling. So I took my CBD, put both Focus and Calm on, ate a filling breakfast, spent time with my kids, cleaned up my to do list, sat outside for a few minutes, and cleaned my desk before starting the work day.

Do what you can. Take care of yourself. You’re not alone!

Tonight’s dinner was the perfect culmination of all 3 goals. I loved BLTs growing up, they’re easy on our budget, and my family loved them! What’s a dinner from your childhood you remember fondly?
Has my life changed since I started using CBD??? 1 Has my life changed since I started using CBD??? 10000%! CBD gave me the head space, freedom from anxiety, and control back to be able to focus on ME!! Did taking CBD cause weight loss, no!, but with the absence of stress, anxiety, and pain from using CBD I could focus on my body, health, wellness, and fitness. CBD has been a big piece of my puzzle these past 10 months. This time last year I was miserable and now, I’m thriving!
The past month has been one of the most fulfilling The past month has been one of the most fulfilling months for me personally in who knows how long! On December 1, I took a leap and decided to start a business selling Green Compass CBD after 9 months of using CBD to reduce my anxiety, lessen feelings of panic, and to manage my stress and body aches/pain (and boy has it changed my days!!).

Over the past 46 days I have made incredible new friends, have helped men and women start using an organic CBD they can trust, made enough money to pay for an Airbnb getaway for my family, and have seen first hand how many people out there just need help!

Help with anxiety. Help with the burnout they’re experiencing. Help with being overwhelmed from this pandemic. Help with managing the feelings of stress from virtual learning and work. Help finding a way to make an extra income. Help with joint and muscle pain. And help with needing a community.

If you’re wanting to know how CBD can help you, take a leap and send me a note!

If you’re needing to make extra money and don’t know where to start, let’s talk!

I hope that all of my friends and followers here on IG know I’m an open book and love helping people reach their goals! If you’re even just a little curious about CBD or Green Compass, I’m here for you!

Woof, what a weird, sad, depressing, and confusing Woof, what a weird, sad, depressing, and confusing first week of the year.

To focus on the good, I took care of myself this week. I did multiple meditations, took time to be outside, made realistic to do lists, established boundaries to give myself space, celebrated my daughter’s thriving in their first week back to virtual learning post break, and focused on the things I love.

One moment I treasure each work day are those first 15 minutes. I look out the window, drink my coffee, and make a list of everything on my mind (Brain Dump). It gives me clarity, focus, and just a moment for ME. Before meetings, before projects, before serving others, I take a moment for ME!

What did you do for YOU this week?
