My Mom makes the most amazing cookies. I do not know how she does it! Last Saturday morning I ran to the post office to pick up a box my Mom had sent Neal and I earlier last week. My Mom sends the most amazing care packages. I hope she doesn’t realize that I’m 27… I love getting care packages, they make my week!
Inside, my Mom had sent a box of homemade M&M cookies and some kitchen goodies for Neal and I. We are going to have one awesome kitchen when we move in together, if you ask me. I’m so excited to use some of the utensils and gadgets we’ve received as wedding presents.
Getting a package was the best way to start off the weekend. Next stop, suit shopping with Neal.
Neal bought an awesome charcoal suit at JC Penney’s on Saturday! Wedding tip— Don’t rent, buy! It would have cost us $190-$250 to RENT a suit for the wedding. The suit at JC Penney’s cost $150 and is his to keep! It’s a lot more affordable and is better for our whole wedding party.
After a successful outing at JC Penney’s, Neal and I went to Grounded Coffee to do some more wedding planning. There’s nothing better than talking wedding over a bowl of Italian Wedding soup!
Neal had a bowl of loaded potato soup and then we split a tomato, basil, and mozzarella sandwich.
First thing we did when we got home from wedding planning? We booked our HONEYMOON airfare!! All I can say for now is that we’re flying into Amsterdam and we’re flying out of Munich. Holy mama, I can not wait to be in Europe with Neal!
We also booked travel to San Antonio for our wedding shower.
Later Saturday afternoon I went dress shopping with my junior bridesmaids and flower girl. They are SO adorable and we had so much fun shopping together! Their dresses are just the cutest.
All in all, we had an incredibly productive weekend and it’s really starting to hit me that we’re getting married! Uber exciting!
