This weekend was close to perfection. The weather was amazing, I tackled all of my to-dos, and I am feeling refreshed! It was awesome!
On Saturday morning I kicked off the weekend with a 45 minute spin class at The Pedal Studio. Afterwards I headed home, showered, and got Magnolia ready for our first ever “ladies lunch” with my dear friend Jen. The three of us headed to Bethesda for lunch at Sweetgreen and then crossed the street to grab cupcakes for our boys.
After our time with Jen, Magnolia and I headed home and spent the rest of the day relaxing at home. I was able to work on Coffee Cake and Cardio quite a bit and watched Harvey with Neal. It was a perfect Saturday!
Sunday morning I headed back to The Pedal Studio for the 8AM class. I love Wendye’s Sunday morning class and this one didn’t disappoint!
After spin I headed to Safeway to pick up a few groceries for the week. More on that in this week’s Weekly Plan.
After breakfast I went to town on our house. I rearranged our dining room, started to set up Magnolia’s playroom, moved my desk back upstairs, and organized some paperwork. I also sat down to work on last week’s Week in Review, which Magnolia insisted on helping me with.
After having a light lunch I made some baby food for Magnolia. On the menu for this week, carrots! Thankfully the baby food was so easy to make (clean carrots, steam carrots, and puree), so I look forward to trying out some new recipes in the upcoming weeks.
At 4:30PM I headed over to Zengo Kentlands to take a class with a friend. Zengo is extremely different from a traditional spin class, but I liked it. Honestly, it kicked my butt, but it was a good experience. Zengo incorporates a lot of upper body work into the ride, which really makes for a total body workout. Definitely not a workout I’d enjoyed doing multiple times a week, but I think once a week or a few times a month would be nice.
