My weekend actually started on Friday! After a pretty rough week (read more about it here), I decided to take Friday off and enjoyed every ounce of that day by myself. I really needed that time by myself and watching 5 episode of Orange is the New Black didn’t hurt either! I documented my Friday in a Day in the Life post in case you missed it this weekend.
Saturday morning we woke up later than expected, but we enjoyed breakfast at home and then headed up to the Baltimore Aquarium. 1 year ago we bought season tickets on a whim and man have we gotten our money’s worth out of those tickets. It has been fun seeing Magnolia’s interest change throughout the aquarium over the past year and we’ve really enjoyed the trips to Baltimore as a family.
As of right now, we’re not planning on renewing our season tickets, but I’m sure we will once we get past the newborn stage of baby 2. Realistically, we won’t be driving back up to Baltimore any time soon, so it’s just not worth our money to renew at this point. With our passes expiring at the end of June, I was really glad we got one last visit out of our passes this year.
We had a really wonderful time as a family! It was also nice for me to get out of the house and to walk around the aquarium a bit. Neal and Magnolia stayed together (or raced ahead of me), but I enjoyed walking around slowly and enjoying the beauty of the aquarium.
Afterwards we grabbed lunch at Chaps Pit Beef, which Neal and I had seen on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives a while back. It was super yummy and a nice stop before heading back home.
Once home, Magnolia and I took a long nap and Neal headed to the DC Divas football game. Magnolia and I enjoyed dinner together, played a ton, and watched Curious George before bed. I attempted to watch another episode of Orange is the New Black, but I fell asleep pretty quickly.
Sunday morning I woke up around 7AM, got ready for church, enjoyed breakfast (toast topped with guacamole and eggs), and played with Magnolia.
Since we were all up and ready, we ran over to the Olney Farmers Market to pick up a few things before church. I was really hoping to pick up some cherries from my favorite stand, but sadly they weren’t at the market yesterday morning. I bought some zucchini and then headed back to the car pretty quickly.
After church I took a power nap and then enjoyed lunch at Cava with my dear friend Sara! It was so nice catching up and enjoying lunch together. Sara and I hung out until around 3PM and then Neal and I headed up to Costco with Magnolia after her nap. We picked up a few necessities (milk, strawberries, cherries, eggs) and then headed back home.
Our Sunday night was pretty chill! After Magnolia went to bed we ate dinner, I blogged, and then we watched the Stanley Cup Finals. I tried my hardest to stay awake, but shocker, I fell asleep. It was better off though since I had OrangeTheory this morning.
I am really praying for a peaceful week this week. I am working hard to limit my stress and am working diligently on my to do list, both in the office and at home. As much as I’d love to meet this baby soon, I am really praying he’ll stay put until June 29. On that day my mom arrives and it’s also the day I’m shooting to have all of my work projects done by. Any time after that date is just a blessing, but I’d like to have everything done and ready by June 29!
Here’s to a great week as I move into my 10th month of pregnancy!
