The Bump- The bump is still just that, a bump, which I love. I can still hide under a hoodie but my winter coat is starting to get a little snug. Hopefully this is my last week having to us it!
Gender- Neal thinks we’re having a girl while I think we’re having a boy. We’ll see in 4 weeks!
Movement- Nothing this week.
Maternity clothes- I actually bought a few things this week! I bought a new bathing suit from Lands End that way I can start swimming laps at the gym and I bought a few capris and dresses from Old Navy. I’m excited for the weather to warm up that way I can start rocking dresses.
Food cravings- I’ve honestly felt kinda blah with food lately. Grocery shopping is tough because I have no idea what I’ll actually want to eat during the week and then I end up standing in front of the fridge trying to figure out what to eat. Not a bad problem to have, just different. I think the weirdest aversion I’ve had lately is towards meat. Some days chicken sounds horrible and other days I don’t mind it. It’s weird.
Workouts- This past week was a LOT better than week 15. I think walking is going to become my new best friend.
- Monday, March 17 – Walk with Theodore
- Tuesday, March 18 – 30 minutes on the Lateral (new to me machine)
- Wednesday, March 19 – Walk with Theodore
- Thursday, March 20 – 30 minutes elliptical
- Friday, March 21 – 2 mile walk
- Saturday, March 22 – 5.16 mile walk
- Sunday, March 23 – Rest
Sleep- Sleep was great this week. I still need to go to bed earlier, but I’ve gotten great sleep either way.
Pregnancy Brain- After coming home from work on Thursday I totally left my keys in the front door on accident. Neal found them in the front door 4 hours later when he got home from work. Whoops!
Missing anything- Lunch meat. Neal ordered a Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich from Panera the other day and I wanted to cry when I remembered I couldn’t have a bite. I guess I didn’t realize how much lunch meat I ate before I was pregnant. It makes lunch a little more challenging.
Thoughts and feelings- Yesterday Neal and I went to my 16 week appointment, which was great. It’s funny how short appointments are though, but I guess that’s not a bad thing. They weigh me, ask how I’m doing, answer any questions I might have, and then find the heart beat (which is really all I want them to do the whole appointment).
The heartbeat was perfect yesterday though the baby was dancing around, making it hard to listen to it for too long before having to search for it again. We are incredibly eager to find out the gender and to see the baby at our next appointment at 20 weeks. As slow as this all seems to be going, I can’t believe we’re almost halfway. I’m starting to get super excited!
Looking forward to- Spring!
