Yesterday marked the start of week two on Whole Living’s 2012 Action Plan Detox. Throughout last week, I felt great, but this week I’m starting to miss various foods, like oatmeal and beef, and have been UBER hungry. Yesterday I was hungry every 1 to 1.5 hours, which was very different from my experience last week. I’m excited to be able to add seafood and legumes back into my diet, but I know it’s going to take a few more weeks to truly adjust to the new style of living.
To go along side my detox, I have decided that for the next two weeks I will also be doing Trader Joe’s Complete Body Cleanse. One of my new favorite bloggers, Kristyn, told me about the cleanse and I just couldn’t wait to buy it.
The cleanse comes with 3 different supplements, each of which are taken at different times each day.
For the next 14 days, I will be taking the following supplements:
|Digestive Formula||3 tablets at night||2 tablets at night|
|Liver Formula||1 capsule at night||1 capsule in the morning and 2 capsule at night|
|Fiber Formula||4 capsules in the morning and 4 at night||4 capsules in the morning and 4 at night|
I know, I know… that’s a LOT of pills but it’s worth it. As I’m already eating a limited diet from the detox, taking these supplements will help to cleanse my system even more. There aren’t too many reviews online about the cleanse, at least not ones I’ve taken anything from, so I hope to share with y’all how I’m feeling throughout the cleanse. Please keep in mind what I’m eating along with the cleanse. My results are a direct correlation between the two… oh, and my workouts.

Day 8 Food Log
Breakfast: Mango, Pineapple, Strawberry and Orange Smoothie from Tropical Smoothie as my blender officially broke yesterday morning, sadness @ 7:00AM
Snack: 1 cucumber and a handful of snap peas @ 10:30AM
Lunch: Leftover roasted corn soup from Trader Joe’s @ 12:30PM
Snack: Tomato soup @ 2:00PM
Snack: 3 clementines and packet of cashews @ 4:00PM
Dinner: 1 beer, house salad with house vinaigrette (sans cheese), 2 half slices of bread, and the cedar plank roasted salmon with winter vegetables, gnocchi, dill cream at Market Tavern @ 7:00PM
A few notes on dinner… I tried to stick to my detox as much as I could. I looked for veggies first and fish second. Although my dinner had a couple of “No-No’s” it was not heavy at all. For example, there were like 4 gnocchi on the plate and I have no idea where the cream was, which I was a ok with. It was an extremely tasty dinner and well worth the treat. The one thing I didn’t need… the bread, but it’s ok, 2 slices was a good serving.
