Smoothies are great for breakfast. Smoothies are great as a snack. Smoothies are great when you need a reboot. Smoothies are easy to make, which I think is one of the main reasons I love them.
I’ve been making smoothies for years, but last year I realized that my healthy smoothies weren’t all that healthy. Some were upwards of 600 calories! But that’s what happens when they’re packed with fruit, yogurt, and nut butters. It all adds up!
Lately I’ve been making smoothies with health in mind. I’ve shifted my mindset and have tried to find ways to pack my smoothies with more nutrients. Last month I was introduced to Be Bright and I’m in love! Be Bright is a non-GMO superfood oil blend and it’s amazing in smoothies. It’s a creamy plant-based blend of chia, coconut, avocado, hemp, and black cumin superfood oils. You can eat it straight up (it’s that good) or add it to smoothies.
- 6 whole strawberries
- 3 inch chunk of cucumber, peeled
- ½ cup pineapple tidbits
- ½ cup orange juice
- 2 tsp Be Bright Superfood Oil Blend
- Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend! I like to use frozen strawberries and pineapple tidbits, but don't hesitate to add ice if you used fresh fruit.
