One year ago I was frantically trying to lose weight before getting pregnant. I was scared, insecure, and fearful of whether or not I’d be able to have a healthy pregnancy at 234 pounds. So much so that I kept putting off pregnancy in hopes of losing just a few more pounds.
One year later I sit here with a beautiful baby girl at my side, proud of my body and the healthy decisions I was able to make over the course of my pregnancy. I ate as healthy as I could, took spin classes until my 40th week of pregnancy, and embraced the weight I gained each week! I was blessed with a wonderful pregnancy, a healthy daughter, and a fast recovery.
40 Weeks Pregnant
With the support of my doctor I am beginning to shift my focus from postpartum recovery to a lifestyle focused on weight loss and I couldn’t be happier! I’m excited to return to the workouts I love and to pay closer attention to the quantity and quality of foods I am eating each day.
I really look forward to sharing my journey with you all and to celebrate the milestones along the way! Here’s to a healthy and happy new chapter!
