Yesterday Neal and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary! You can read about our wedding here, here, and here. It’s honestly wild to think we’ve known each other for 6 years and have been married for 3. We’ve been through a lot these past 6 years and I’m so grateful we both took a risk signing up for match.com back in 2009 and meeting each other in person at Nationals Park.
Over the years we’ve been on some amazing dates, have supported each other in our careers and hobbies, had an amazing engagement and wedding, became parents to our westie Theodore, and had our amazing daughter Magnolia. I’m really thankful for these past 3 years and am excited to see what our 4th year of marriage brings. We have lots of plans!
To celebrate our anniversary Neal and I both took the day off work. Neal’s brother was in town, so we spent the morning with him and then dropped Magnolia off at daycare. After saying goodbye to Neal’s brother, Neal and I headed to the Nike outlet and then to lunch at Melt in Leesburg, VA. I ordered the turkey burger with bacon, pimento cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. It was messy but really good.
Once home, Neal and I both took a nap. We had grand plans for the afternoon but as new parents, a nap sounded better than anything. Late afternoon we picked up our CSA and then drove over to Rockville, MD to see Inside Out at iPic.
Although iPic is pretty expensive, the amenities are pretty amazing! $24 gets you a movie ticket, recliner chair, pillow, blanket, unlimited popcorn, and access to a waiter/waitress. They have a pretty big menu, filled with appetizers, entrees, beer, wine, cocktails, and candy. It really provides an fun experience and boy was Inside Out an amazing movie! I can’t wait to see it again when it comes out on dvd.
As Magnolia had her first sleepover last night (aka we had loved ones watch her), Neal and I were able to get up and go for a run this morning. It was so nice being able to run together and to close out our anniversary celebration before heading to work. We can’t wait to see Magnolia tonight!!
