This week I’m enjoying spring break with Magnolia and we’re having a blast! Our spring break is going to be a mix of adventures around DC, organizing the house, a few doctors appointments, and a little work from home.
Our spring break kicked off as a family this past weekend. We started our Saturday with a family trip to Duck Donuts and then ran errands. It’s such a little tradition, but I absolutely love our Saturday mornings.
It has been so chilly here in DC this month, but we spent a good amount of time outside this weekend when the sun was shinning. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for spring and the warmer weather!
We closed out the weekend with a family dinner at home. Homemade burgers, fries, and salads were on the docket and they were delicious! Our weekend was relaxed and filled with lots of family time.
Monday was my first day home with just Magnolia. I started the day with a 5AM OrangeTheory class and then got the kids ready for the day. Kinnick is in daycare this week, so I spent a few hours with both kids and then Magnolia and I dropped off Kinnick.
Our Monday was filled with a trip to Target to pick up some new items for the kids play room, almost 2 hours playing at Monkey Joe’s, a car wash, and a glorious nap before organizing the basement/playroom.
Our basement is a mix between the kids playroom, our guest bedroom, storage, and the laundry room. The basement has been in limbo, so I wanted to take some time to organize it and make it a bit warmer. Magnolia and I bought this new teepee and she just loves it!
Tuesday I went into work for the morning and then took Magnolia to a doctors appointment in the afternoon. It wasn’t as fun as Monday, but we still had a great time together. We made salmon for dinner, which Kinnick is obsessed with, and played in the basement until bedtime.
We have so many fun plans this week and I’m really thankful to have this week with Magnolia. I really miss having the one-on-one time with her. It’s special to create these memories together. I also can’t wait to celebrate Easter with our entire family and my sister!
