It’s beginning to look a lot like
Christmas summer!?! I know it’ll be short-lived, but it has been absolutely beautiful here in DC. Today the high was 81!! Although Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are right around the corner, in this moment, it doesn’t feel like they are.
These past two months I have maintained the weight I lost during my scaleless summer. I’ve only weighed myself a few times since September 14, but my weight has stayed right around 234. Eating healthy foods and exercising has definitely been my focus, but I’m ready for my next challenge.
Doing the scaleless summer kept me focused. I pushed myself in workouts, thought twice about treats, and was determined to reach my goals. The holidays can be tough, but I don’t want to just maintain or gain weight during the holidays and then go full force after the new year. I want to be purposeful these last few weeks of 2015. I want to get back into the 220’s and to share my journey along the way.
For the next 8 weeks I am going to be focused on weight loss through my Healthy Holidays Challenge. Each week I am going to set goals and will then weigh-in and check-in every Friday here on Coffee Cake and Cardio. My goal is to lose 10 pounds by January 1 and to stay in control throughout the holiday celebrations.

Week 3: November 20-26
Week 4: November 27-December 3
Week 5: December 4-10
Week 6: December 11-17
Week 7: December 18-24
Week 8: December 25- 31
