We had an absolutely wonderful time in Texas and are now home in DC/Maryland. Although it rained most of the time we were in Texas, our last full day on Wednesday was really nice. I started off the day Wednesday at OrangeTheory. The Cibolo location just opened this week, so it was really fun working out with them.
The workout was really good on Wednesday and I felt really great after my workout. The workout didn’t have any rowing, so we spent half of the class in the weight room and the other half on the treadmill.
After my workout I had breakfast with my family (homemade biscuits and gravy for my brother’s last day in Texas) and played with Magnolia. Mid morning I met up with my best friend and her siblings, hanging out for a little bit and buying a few new earrings at James Avery (my FAVORITE!!). I bought beautiful turquoise studs and a cute pair of Texas State studs.
We spent the afternoon with my brother and then took him to the airport around 4PM before heading to the park with Magnolia. The weather was absolutely perfect Wednesday night and I loved watching the sun set along the horizon.
We spent Wednesday night at my parents house, hanging out with my other brother Chris, my dad, and my mom. It was a quiet night, but a perfect end to our family vacation.
Thursday morning we woke up early and started packing. Once we were all loaded into the car, we grabbed breakfast tacos, filled up the gas tank, stopped by my best friend’s house one last time, and then headed to the airport. Our plane ride was smooth, but Magnolia really struggled. I was hopeful she’d nap the entire time, but no. She was clearly overtired, but was quite upset that she had to wear the seat belt. We were that family on the plane with a screaming toddler… oh well!
We got home around 6:30PM, just as the sun was setting over our blooming cherry trees. I absolutely love these trees and was so happy we didn’t miss their bloom this year. I was wondering if they’d bloom while we were in Texas. Such a pretty sight to come home to.
We had an absolutely wonderful time in Texas, even brought Gigi (my mom) back home with us, and I’m looking forward celebrating Easter together this weekend here in DC. I have a pretty hefty to do list for today, but I’m looking forward to getting organized and ready for the week ahead before I head back to work on Tuesday.
I hope y’all had a nice week and that you have a wonderful weekend and Easter!
