Happy Friday everyone!!
I won’t lie, this was a pretty busy week and drained a lot of my energy. Neal’s parents are in town this weekend, so Neal and I both worked really hard Monday through Wednesday in order to take some time off while they’re in town. I took yesterday off, which was awesome, and will also take Monday off to spend a little more time with family before they head back to Iowa. I’m back at work today, but I’m looking forward to the long weekend.
As most of y’all know, Magnolia goes to daycare while Neal and I are at work. When I first went back to work I wanted her to be in daycare as little as possible. I LOVE our daycare, but I hated being away from her. After we settled in and got used to our new routine, I realized how healthy it was for Neal and I to take some time off work and to still send Magnolia to daycare. Having that time together and to rest and recharge is priceless! Yesterday we dropped off Magnolia at daycare, enjoyed a day with Neal’s parents, and I even took a 3 hour nap in the afternoon. It was amazing!
Looking back on the week, it was a good one. I’ve eaten out a lot/had business meals at work, so I’m looking forward to preparing my meals next week and getting back on track. I may even do a little juicing just to detox my system a bit.
Here’s a look at my Monday. I paid for it on Tuesday, but it was a good day overall.
4:15AM – My alarm goes off and for a minute I’m confused as to why it’s going on. I quickly realize it’s Monday and hit the snooze button.
4:30AM – My second alarm goes off, so I hop out of bed.
4:32AM – I put in my contacts, throw my hair up into a bun, put on my shoes and socks, and fill up my water bottle.
4:45AM – I leave my house and head over to Orange Theory
5:00AM – Workout begins
6:00AM – Workout ends. It was a killer workout. I definitely struggled.
6:25AM – Hop in the shower, throw my hair up, and get dressed.
6:45AM – I make Magnolia breakfast. Scrambled eggs and raspberries.
7:30AM – Arrive at daycare and drop off Magnolia.
8:25AM – Arrive at work, turn on my computer, make myself a cup of tea, and start the work day.
4:30PM – Leave work and head straight to daycare
5:15PM – Arrive at daycare and pick up miss Magnolia.
5:45PM – Arrive home, let Theodore out, feed Magnolia dinner, and play with Magnolia until Neal arrives.
6:45PM – Neal arrives home and takes Theodore out for a long walk.
7:50PM – Bottle and bedtime for Magnolia.
8:00PM – Win wife of the year award and make Neal homemade baked chicken wings, following this recipe.
8:45PM – I enjoy 2 wings and a salad for dinner.
9:15PM – Sit down to watch Switched at Birth and Castle while I work on e-mails and blogging.
11:00PM – Head to bed
12:05AM – Magnolia wakes up screaming. I can’t tell you the last time this happened. I think she’s going through a growth spurt.
